Congressmen meet President; seek FIR against AAP governmentNew Delhi, April 13 (IANS) Delhi Congress leaders on Thursday met President Pranab Mukherjee and sought his intervention to register an FIR against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over corruption allegations by Shunglu Committee.

"Met Hon'ble Rashtrapati ji requesting him to intervene for registration of FIR against Kejriwal government on corruption found by Shunglu Committee," Ajay Maken, who led the Congress delegation to the meeting, said on his Twitter account.

The Shunglu Committee had raised questions on several appointments by the Delhi government and had also found irregularities in allotment of government bungalows.

 

A three-member committee headed by former Comptroller and Auditor General V.K. Shunglu reviewed 404 files of the Kejriwal government to allege there were irregularities with various appointments and other decisions.

The report, which was accessed by IANS, questioned the appointment of Soumya Jain, daughter of Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, as an adviser to Mission Director of Mohalla Clinic project, which has won global praise for providing free healthcare.
