New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was on Wednesday informed about the MoU to promote joint scientific and research activities between India and Russia, an official statement said.
The memorandum was signed in October 2016 to facilitate and support joint scientific and research activities between scientific organisations of both countries.
Under this MoU, which is valid for five years, India and Russia will exchange of information, establish direct connections between specialists, scientists and scientific organisations, form projects aimed at joint research and aim at development of inter-disciplinary and multi-institutional projects with the involvement of industry.
For popularisation of science, the MoU also has provision of media coverage of the joint scientific activities.
