Shimla, April 3 (IANS) The hills of Himachal Pradesh on Monday continued to experience warm weather with the state's Una town recording a high of 34.8 degrees Celsius, a Met official here said. But rains are in store for two days from Tuesday.
"Temperatures increased due to the ongoing dry spell. An active western disturbance is likely to bring rain and thundershowers across the state on April 4 and 5. There are also chances of mild snow in higher reaches," an official of the meteorological office told IANS.
The state capital recorded a high of 24 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 14.1 degrees.
Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile, recorded 29.2 degrees Celsius, while it was 32.5 degrees in Nahan and 30 degrees in Solan.
The Met official said prevailing dry weather in the past few days was mainly responsible for the high temperatures.
