Kolkata, March 23 (IANS) Bengal's Yubrini Banerjee made it to the last four in the girls singles under-18 category of the ongoing Rendez-Vous A Roland Garros national series tennis tournament here on Thursday.
Yubrini, seeded third in the draw drubbed Maharashtra's Prerna Vichare 6-3, 6-3. She will meet seventh seed G.S. Vasavi of Tamil Nadu in the semi-finals on Friday at the red clay courts of the Dakshin Kalikata Sansad (DKS).
The top four seeds in the boys singles under-18 category entered the semi-finals with ease as none was ready to drop a set en route.
The unseeded duo of Dipin Wadhwa and Akshat Agarwal reached the final of the boys doubles under-18 event, as they dismissed the pair of Madhwin Kamath and Ashutosh Tiwari 6-2, 6-2.
They will face the second seeded pair of Parikshit Somani and Atharva Sharma in the final.
