Los Angeles, Mar 15 (PTI) Damien Chazelle has sold the Black List script rights of his mystery thriller "The Claim", which will be released next year.
Scott Clayton's Oceanside Media has optioned movie rights to the mystery thriller, written by "La La Land" director, reported Variety.
The script, which made the Black List in the year 2010, revolves around the story of a single father who has a criminal background and must find out where his kidnapped daughter is, along with fighting the mysterious claims of another couple who insist that the child is theirs.
Clayton said, "He (Chazelle) has written a mesmerising and bone-chilling thriller confirming his talent as a truly versatile screenwriter. We look forward to bringing this haunting film to audiences around the world."
Chazelle, who won the best director Oscar for the Ryan Gosling-Emma Stone starrer, was also nominated in the year 2015 for best adapted screenplay for another Black List honoree, "Whiplash".
