Mumbai, Feb 21 (IANS) Stock market major BSE on Tuesday reported that state-run Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation has raised Rs 6,510 crore worth of debt capital on its bond platform.
"On February 16, 2017, UP Power Corporation successfully raised a whopping Rs 6,510 crore the highest ever mobilisation of debt capital by a public sector unit on the BSE BOND platform," the stock exchange major said in a statement.
According to the statement, 313 issues of bonds by 58 issuers have successfully raised Rs 162,731 crore using the BSE Debt platforms during the financial year 2016-17 till February 20, 2017.
BSE had on July 1, 2016 launched the platform for 'Electronic Book Mechanism' -- BSE BOND -- for the issuance of debt securities on private placement basis.
