Hyderabad, Feb 16 (IANS) Tiruvuru Exporters Association (TEA) has agreed to set up 10 units at the proposed mega textile park in Warangal town of Telangana.
A delegation from Telangana, led by state Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao, visited Thiruvuru and Palladam textile parks in Tamil Nadu.
The minister promised to allocate a separate block for TEA in the Warangal park.
At both the textile parks, the delegation met industrialists and enquired about the measures taken for developing the textile industries in the clusters.
The minister, son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, met representatives of TEA and explained about the handloom policies of Telangana and the proposed textile park in Warangal.
He also enquired about incentives being given to handloom and powerloom workers and industries in Tamil Nadu.
He met the weavers and enquired about the various facilities being offered in the Palladam Hitech weavers park in Palladam.
The government of Telangana and PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore also PSD institutions entered into MoU to share knowledge in skill upgradation, training in management and research and development in the field of textile industry.
