New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS) An education fair here will bring together representatives and faculties of 60 universities and educational institutes from the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand to help students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad, a statement said.
The fair, to be organised by IDP Education, will be held here at Hotel Le Meridien on February 18. "It is a free platform for students to gauge their prospects, apply directly to the institution of their choice and get first hand information on courses and scholarships," a statement issued by International Development Program (IDP) said on Thursday.
The fair would also provide an opportunity to have one-on-one interactions with universities' representatives and institutions, including University of Missouri - St Louis, Queens University Belfast, Leeds Beckett University, Montana State University, Anglia Ruskin University, The University Of Waikato, The University of Auckland, and Vancouver Island University.
The event will also be held in the cities of Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Gurugram, Jalandhar, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and Coimbatore in addition to Delhi.
"The fair is a platform for aspiring students to come and have a face-to-face interaction with the university representatives and get answers to all their queries related to studying abroad," IDP Director Piyush Kumar said.
"Our goal is to assist and guide the students and parents with the right advice through all the steps from initial exploratory stage of courses, to university selection and application submission," he said.
