Ghaziabad, Feb 11 (IANS) Ghaziabad district witnessed a 57.2 per cent voter turnout in five assembly constituencies till 5.00 p.m. on Friday in the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
In Loni assembly constituency, 54.6 per cent votes were cast while Muradnagar assembly constituency witnessed 63.47 per cent turnout.
In Sahibabad assembly constituency, 51.1 per cent voting was seen while Ghaziabad assembly seat witnessed 50.1 per cent voting.
The Modinagar assembly constituency witnessed 60.15 per cent and Dhaulana, part of newly carved Hapur district assembly constituency, where election is being conducted by Ghaziabad administration, witnessed 65.05 per cent turnout.
The total average turnout of voting in five assembly seats of the district and partly of Dhaulana assembly election witnessed 57.2 per cent turnout till 5.00 p.m.
