Ghaziabad, Feb 11 (IANS) Ghaziabad district witnessed 50.4 per cent voter turnout in five assembly constituencies till 3.00 p.m. on Friday in the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
In Loni assembly constituency, 51.6 per cent votes were cast while Muradnagar constituency witnessed 51.29 per cent voter turnout.
In Sahibabad assembly constituency, the voter turnout was 40.64 per cent while Ghaziabad assembly seat witnessed 46.38 per cent voting.
The Modinagar assembly constituency saw 58.1 per cent polling and Dhaulana, part of newly carved Hapur district assembly constituency, where the election is being conducted by Ghaziabad administration, witnessed 53.56 per cent turn out.
The total average turnout of voters in five assembly seats of the district and partly of Dhaulana assembly election witnessed 50.4 per cent turnout till 3.00 am.
