Ralph Fiennes to direct ‘The White Crow’

Los Angeles, Feb 6 (PTI) Actor Ralph Fiennes is all set to direct "The White Crow," a film which centres on the life story of Russian ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev.

The 54-year-old actor will helm the movie which is based on Julie Kavanagh's book 'Rudolf Nureyev: The Life', reported Variety.

"This is a story of an uncompromising spirit, of homeland and ideologies that restrict, and of friendship. It is, equally, a tale about the life and ballet culture he left behind in Russia," Fiennes said.

Russian dancer Oleg Ivenko will essay the role of Nureyev and Adele Exarchopoulos plays Clara Sain.

This will be Fiennes' third film as director after "The Invisible Woman" (2013) and "Coriolanus" (2011).
