New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) Veteran publisher K.P.R. Nair was on Saturday conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by a federation of Indian publishers for his contribution to the industry. Nair is the founder-proprietor of Konark Publishers.
The Federation of Publishers and Booksellers gave the award to Nair at its 62nd Annual General Meeting here. Nair has published more than 1,500 educational, academic and trade books, both for the domestic and global markets, the organisers of the award said.
Also released at the event was "Pages From My Life: A Publisher's Autobiography" written by Subhash Sethi, who said he did not want his 50-year experience in the publishing industry to go unshared and unutilised.
The book provides information and lessons of the trade for the benefit of the young generation entering the publishing industry.
