Chennai, Jan 27 (IANS) The yet-untitled Telugu and Tamil remake of last year's Kannada sleeper hit "U-Turn" will take time to go on the sets as the project is still in a nascent stage, says a source.
"The project is still in a nascent stage as discussions are still being held. It will take time to go to the sets as the casting process will take a while. So far only Samantha (Ruth Prabhu) has been finalised as the main lead," a source close to the actress told IANS.
The source also denied reports that Samantha will be bankrolling the project.
"She hasn't officially announced anything yet. The team is talking to a few producers and some have even expressed interest, but aren't quite sure if the project will work with Tamil and Telugu audiences," he said.
Pawan Kumar, who helmed the original, will return to call the shots for the remake.
The film's plot revolves around the mysterious deaths of motorists who break a traffic rule on a particular flyover.
