Missy Elliot releases first song in a decade

Los Angeles, Jan 28 (PTI) Rapper Missy Elliot has released a new song called "I'm Better" after a gap of ten years.

The 45-year-old singer can be seen in a new music video, which she has co-directed with her longtime collaborator Dave Meyers and also features Lamb, reported Entertainment Weekly.

In a footage from an upcoming documentary that she features in, Missy said, "It's never just a record for me.

It s never just making a hot record. I can do that in my sleep."

Missy was active with her guest appearances and some singles in the music arena, but stayed behind the scenes. She also wrote and produced songs for other artists, after she released "The Cookbook" in 2005.

In 2015, she also performed with Katy Perry at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show and collaborated with Pharrell Williams for "WTF (Where They From)," which also marked her first music video in seven years.
