New Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS) Grammy nominated French music producer DJ Snake will visit India in February for a three-city tour with dance music brand Sunburn. He is excited about exploring new cultures.
"India is a special place and its always wonderful coming back. I'm looking forward to exploring new cities and new cultures," DJ Snake said in a statement.
For the first time, the Sunburn Arena will travel to cities outside of cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
So, DJ Snake will take the stage on the February 17 in Hyderabad, February 18 in Kolkata and February 19 in Chennai.
He added: "I've been to every country in the world, but I've never seen a country like India. The sights, sounds and the colours are very exclusive. I want to make the most of this trip here by exploring the country as much as I can. I cannot wait to collaborate with artistes of various genres of Indian music.
"I've always wanted to compose tracks that are very authentic, and I think the kind of music culture that exists here will allow me to come up with songs that are very interesting to everyone across the globe."
DJ Snake is not a complete stranger to India. His collaboration with Major Lazer for "Lean On" was shot in Mumbai and he also performed at Sunburn City Festival in 2015.
Born William Grigahcine, DJ Snake is at the forefront of the trap music movement. His big break as a solo artist came when "Turn down for what" became the most popular crossover trap hit.
He has previously collaborated with some hip-hop and pop artistes in the industry and has performed at Tomorrowland, Coachella, Ultra Music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas and more.
The tickets for the Sunburn Arena shows will go live on January 22 on bookmyshow.com.
