Chennai, Jan 18 (IANS) Premium two-wheeler manufacturer DSK Motowheels will launch five new models spread over this year and next year, said a top official here on Wednesday.
He also said the company hopes to close this year selling around 4,500 units and targets 6,000 units the next fiscal.
"We will be launching four models in 2017. One will be a 300cc bike in April, an adventure bike in June/July. During the second half of 2017 we will launch a 500cc street bike and a 380cc bike in the classic segment," company Chairman Shirish Kulkarni told reporters.
"We are also looking at launching a 750cc street bike in 2018," Kulkarni added.
According to him, the high-end bike market is estimated at around 16,000 units per annum and is logging good growth.
He said DSK Motowheels closed last fiscal with a turnover of Rs 84 crore and this fiscal the turnover is expected to be around Rs 120 crore.
On expansion of network Kulkarni said the company would increase its dealer network to 40 by the end of this year up from the current 24 dealers.
He said around 55 per cent of the sales volume comes from its model TNT 25 priced at Rs 1.83 lakh, TNT 300 (Rs 3.08 lakh) and around 35 per cent of the volume is accounted by TNT 600i (Rs 5.83 lakh).
