Chennai, Jan 17 (IANS) Actress Avantika Mishra, who is set for her Tamil film debut with an upcoming yet-untitled project with Ashok Selvan, says acting happened out of the blue and it took time for her to fall in love with cinema.
Having made her acting debut in 2014 Telugu psychological thriller "Maaya", Avantika has just done one more film since then.
"I was in third year of college when I signed 'Maaya', and it happened out of the blue. I never aspired to be an actress, so it took time to fall in love with cinema and start taking my career seriously. By the time I realized I enjoy being part of cinema, I wanted to be sure of the projects I sign," Avantika told IANS.
Excited about her Tamil debut, she said: "I'm kicking off New Year with work in a new industry. It can't get any better than this. It's a romantic-comedy and I play a lovely character."
To be directed by debutant Balaji, the film will have music by Nivas Prasanna.
