Kathmandu, Jan 16 (IANS) Nepal's Health Ministry and the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) will conduct free healthcare programmes for the 2015 earthquake survivors.
A meeting between NRA Chief Executive Officer Govindaraj Pokharel and Health Secretary Senendraraj Upreti on Sunday decided to run the free programmes in the quake-hit districts, The Kathmandu Post reported on Monday.
Coordination would be made with the Institute of Medicine (IoM), Kathmandu University, National Academy of Medical Sciences and Patan Academy of Health Sciences to deploy specialists in the health camps, Pokharel said.
The quake that jolted Nepal on April 25, 2015 killed about 9,000 people.
The worst hit districts included Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha, Dolakha and Dhading.
