New Delhi, Jan 12 (IANS) The Supreme Court on Thursday directed Unitech builders to provide Rs 2 crore to 39 flat buyers who had booked apartments in its Gurugram project seven years back but are yet to get possession.
A bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra directed the real estate company to deposit the amount of Rs 2 crore to 39 flat buyers and posted the matter for further hearing on February 14.
The court was hearing a bunch of petitions filed by the buyers after they failed to get possession of the flats by the company.
The total principal amount that Unitech has to refund to the 39 flat owners is Rs 16,55,00,525.
