New Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS) Thousands of passengers were stranded as at least 53 trains were delayed and 14 cancelled due to dense fog in parts of north India on Tuesday, a railway official said.
According to the Northern Railway official, nine trains were rescheduled.
The cancelled trains on Tuesday included the New Delhi-Hyderabad Telangana Express, Jammu Tawi-Bhagalpur Amarnath Express, Jaynagar-Amritsar Saryu Yamuna Express, New Delhi-Rajgir Shramjivi Express, Kota-Patna Express, New Delhi-Bhubhneswar Rajdhani Express and Amritsar-Kanpur Central Express.
The trains cancelled on Wednesday included Amritsar-Nanded Sachkhand Express, New Delhi-Trivendrum Central Kerala Express, Visakhapatnam-New Delhi Andhra Pradesh Express, and the New Delhi-Puri Purushottam Express, the official said.
