Rio de Janeiro, Dec 26 (IANS) Brazilian Serie A football club Cruzeiro is reportedly close to signing former Brazil international midfielder Jadson from Tianjin Quanjian.
Cruzeiro President Gilvan Tavares said the club had a verbal agreement with a high-profile player, believed to be the 33-year-old former Corinthians playmaker, according to widespread media reports.
"We are chasing at least one player and he could arrive at any time, we are just waiting for final confirmation," Tavares told reporters on Sunday.
Jadson joined Tianjin Quanjian in January after helping Corinthians win the Brazilian Serie A title in 2015, reports Xinhua.
Cruzeiro have already signed Ecuador international defender Luis Caicedo, full-back Diogo Barbosa and midfielder Hudson Rodrigues in the past three weeks.
