Chennai, Dec 20 (IANS) It was just last week that Dhanush officially announced the launch of upcoming Tamil actioner "VIP 2", a sequel to his 2014 blockbuster "Vela Illa Pattathari" aka "VIP". Now there's a buzz that he might also do a sequel to his 2015 Tamil hit "Maari".
"'Maari 2' is on the cards and director Balaji Mohan has even submitted the final draft of the script to Dhanush. Although it's not clear yet as to when the project will go on the floors, an official announcement can be expected in a few weeks," a source close to Dhanush told IANS.
In "Maari", Dhanush played a dhoti-clad, moustache-twirling local rowdy.
Meanwhile, "VIP 2" will go on the floors early next year. The project will be directed by Dhanush's sister-in-law Soundarya Rajinikanth.
Bollywood actress Kajol has been roped in for a pivotal role.
At this rate, it looks like Dhanush might have three releases in 2017, and it includes his Tamil actioner "Ennai Noki Paayum Thota" with Gautham Menon.
