New Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) A court here on Tuesday reserved order on senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar's application for an anticipatory bail in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
Additional Sessions Judge Vikash Dhull said the court will deliver order on Kumar's bail plea on Wednesday.
Kumar has been accused of instigating a mob for killing two Sikhs -- Sohan Singh and his son Avtar Singh -- in Janakpuri area here on November 1, 1984.
The case was opened by the special investigation team (SIT) recently.
Senior advocate H.S. Phoolka, who is representing the victim, opposed the plea and said the allegations against Kumar were very serious.
Phoolka apprised the court about one situation when Central Bureau of Investigation had gone to the Congress leader's house and the probe agency's vehicle was burnt by his supporters.
Public Prosecutor Anju Rana argued that Kumar was not cooperating in the investigation and therefore his custodial interrogation was required.
However, Kumar's defence counsel said the recently opened case was politically motivated.
