Kochi, Dec 18 (IANS) With passions overflowing in Kerala over the ISL final here between local team Kerala Blasters and Atletico de Kolkata on Sunday night, the organisers seem to have caused much soreness by giving two ordinary tickets to one of the country's legendary footballers and local boy I.M. Vijayan.
"I rue if this is the treatment meted out to me by the organisers. I shudder to think what will the ordinary fans get," said Vijayan to the media on Sunday morning.
"Am told that lots of tickets are being sold in the black market. I was given just two ordinary tickets for my son and me to watch the final," said Vijayan.
An Arjuna award winner, Vijayan was crowned Indian Player of the Year in 1993, 1997 and 1999. He was first player to win the honour multiple times.
The hosts of the event are the Kerala Football Association and since the past few days there have been widespread reports of tickets being sold in the black market for as much as Rs 3,000.
The police on Saturday arrested two persons who were found selling the tickets online at exorbitant rates.
