Chandigarh, Dec 17 (IANS) While fog has affected normal life across Punjab and Haryana in recent days, a cold wave has also started affecting the region with minimum temperatures dropping.
In Punjab, Sikh holy city of Amritsar recorded a minimum temperature of 4 degrees while the industrial city of Ludhiana recorded a low of 4.2 degrees.A
The maximum temperatures at most places in Punjab hovered between 21 and 23 degrees.
In Haryana, Narnaul town also recorded a minimum temperature of 4 degrees while Hisar had a low of 6.1 degrees.
Chandigarh had a minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees and a maximum of 23.3 degrees.
In comparison, hill station Shimla had a minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees, Met officials said on Saturday.
