Vadra concerned over demonetisation

New Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra on Thursday expressed concerns for people suffering due to demonetisation.

"Never ending queues outside banks and ATMs, with people battling the cold and waiting (for) days to withdraw their hard earned money. It's been more than a month??" Vadra posted on Facebook.

"A girl commits suicide because she couldn't withdraw the money to pay her college fees, a man dies in the queue and no one comes forward to help... so many other heart wrenching stories..."

Vadra said: "First we were told it was to clean up black money, then terrorism, now we're told it's to make ours a cashless society...

"Whichever it is, did so many people have to suffer so much, lose their livelihood and even their lives to satisfy the imaginary objectives of one man's ego?"
