Kolkata, Dec 14 (IANS) Describing his meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as "terrific" and "delightful", US Ambassador to India Richard Verma on Wednesday said his country was looking at linkages in several sectors like polytechnics which were growing in this part of India.
"I had a delightful, terrific meeting with the Chief Minister. I updated her on issues of bilateral relations between the two contries as also on the ongoing Indo-Asia Connectivity for Shared Prosperity conference," Verma told media persons.
"Obviously, we are looking at developing linkages. We would want US investments. We had detailed discussions on all kinds of issues," he said.
Sources in the Chief Minister's Office said Banerjee invited Verma to the Bengal Global Business Summit slated to be held on January 20-21 next year.
