New Delhi, Dec 13 (IANS) The AGMUT Cadre IAS Association and DANICS Association on Tuesday jointly passed a resolution to collectively raise voice against "injustices" meted out by the political executive of Delhi government.
They also resolved to appeal to the political executive to maintain decorum in their comments against the officers.
The resolution was passed at a joint meeting of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) Cadre IAS Association and Delhi and Andaman & Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) Association here on Tuesday
Both the associations expressed anguish and concern at the "insults and use of offensive language against some senior officers by the political executive of Delhi government in the recent past".
"It was noted that there have been instances of political executive passing uncharitable, derogatory, insulting and humiliating remarks against some senior officers during meetings and in various print, electronic and social media.
"Some officers have narrated the difficulties they had faced and the humiliation they had been subjected to...for no fault of theirs," the joint resolution said.
The associations also resolved to appeal the government not to resort to unfounded allegations and misinformation campaign against officers under any circumstances.
The resolution added repeated tarnishing of the reputation of bureaucrats of continues will lower the moral of entire bureaucracy and will cast a shadow on the functioning of the government. However the associations said they will continue to function in a free, fair, just and neutral manner and will work wholeheartedly for the welfare of citizens of Delhi.
