Nairobi, Dec 11 (IANS) At least 33 persons were killed and many others injured after an oil tanker crashed into other vehicles in Kenya's Naivasha town, disaster management officials said on Sunday.
The accident occured on the Nakuru-Nairobi road at 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, Xinhua news agency reported, citing the National Disaster Management Unit.
Deputy county commissioner Isaac Masinde said the driver lost control of the fuel tanker which then rammed into other vehicles in Karai area.
Witnesses said the tanker exploded immediately on the crash and the blaze engulfed other vehicles with passengers inside.
