Lucknow, Dec 10 (IANS) India defeated England 5-3 in their second Pool D match to virtually assure themselves a quarter-final spot in the men's Junior Hockey World Cup here on Saturday.
Parvinder Singh (24th minute), Armaan Qureshi (35th), Harmanpreet Singh (37th), Simranjeet Singh (45th) and Varun Kumar (59th) scored for India.
England had taken the lead through Jack Clee in the 10th minute before conceding a 1-5 deficit.
But Will Calnan (63rd) and Edward Horler (67) scored for England to ensure an exciting finish.
