Moscow, Dec 6 (IANS) The joint Russian-Indian naval exercise, code-named Indra NAVY-2016, will be held from December 14 to 21, an official here said.
The Harbour Phase of the two phased exercise will be held from December 14 to 18 in Visakhapatnam, and the Sea Phase will take place in the Bay of Bengal from December 19 to 21, Xinhua news agency quoted Russian Pacific Fleet's spokesman Vladimir Matveev as saying.
The Harbour Phase will include table-top exercises, planning conferences ashore, official visit exchanges and sports and cultural events.
The Sea Phase will include various fleet operations, according to the spokesman.
The two countries have conducted several anti-terror drills since 2003, and in 2005 such exercises were named "Indra".
The Indra drills were also held in 2007, 2014 and 2015.
