Virtual reality is like theatre, says Aman Uppal

Mumbai, Dec 2 (IANS) Actor Aman Uppal, who is set to feature in a virtual reality (VR) web series with actors Aditya Kumar and Vijay Varma, says that the medium is like theatre -- an actor's medium.

Produced by SpectraVR studios, the web series has been written and directed by Sumit Saxena.

"The best part of VR is that you are free to do whatever you want to do. You can enjoy and have a ball in virtual reality. In a film, the director becomes the medium while in VR, it's like theatre, it becomes an actor's medium," Aman said in a statement.

"I had a very enjoyable and fulfilling experience. A lot of the credit goes to the writer because I think he has such thought in his writing. He has a knack of not making it sound grave or deep unnecessarily," he added.

The series, which is currently being filmed, talks about four friends who are reuniting in Goa after a long time.

The web series will also have actress Patralekha.
