Gwalior, Nov 29 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh police have arrested a person who was posing as a station incharge and even issued orders to junior officials, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, a man named Vaibhav Sengar arrived at Aantri police station, in Gwalior district, on Monday and introduced himself as the new station incharge.
The impostor occupied the chair of the local police chief and started instructing his junior officials. He also surveyed the area in a police jeep, said the police.
Superintendent of Police Harinarayan Chari said: "The truth came to light when senior officials were informed about Vaibhav's arrival at the police station. He tried to run away taking a train to Jhansi, but was caught."
According to Chari, the accused is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and has been involved in such activities in the past also.
The police was collecting further information regarding Vaibhav, Chari said.
