Shimla, Nov 26 (IANS) The hills of Himachal Pradesh have been experiencing long sunny days but chilly nights, a weather official said here on Saturday. There are no chances of rain or snow in most of the prominent tourist destinations for almost a week.
"It is a bright, sunny day across the state these days, but temperatures remained close to freezing point in many places," an official of the meteorological office here told IANS.
The minimum and maximum temperatures have increased by one to two degrees (Celsius) since Friday.
Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul and Spiti district, was the coldest at a minimum temperature of 2.1 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of 3.6 degrees Celsius, while the temperature was 6 degrees in Manali and 12.4 degrees in Dharamsala.
The state capital Shimla saw a low of 14.8 degree Celsius, while it was 7.2 degrees in Solan.
Shimla recorded a high of 19.8 degree Celsius, while it was 18.8 degrees in Dharamsala.
The meteorological office here said the weather would largely remain dry till December 1.
