Colombo, Nov 25 (IANS) A Sri Lankan court on Friday issued an international arrest warrant against a journalist based in the UK on charges of contempt of court.
The court ordered the warrant against Lankaenews editor Sandaruwan Senadheera to be issued via Interpol, Xinhua news agency reported.
It instructed the Department of Immigration and Emigration to arrest the editor if he arrived in Sri Lanka.
Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapakse has accused Senadheera of insulting the country's judges.
