New Delhi, Nov 24 (IANS) Two persons were killed and five others, including a minor boy, were injured when a truck overturned and smashed two cars in Delhi on Thursday, the city police said.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. when the truck heading towards Punjabi Bagh overturned on two cars, a Honda Amaze and a Maruti Alto, which were taxing on the other side of the carriageway.
"Of the two occupants of the Honda Amaze car, one died at the spot while the other is critically injured and admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital," Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said.
The other victim was a woman pedestrian, who was crossing the road. She also died on the spot and has not been identified yet, Kumar said.
Four persons, including a four-year-old boy, riding in the Alto car received minor injuries. They were admitted to the ESI Hospital, the police said.
The occupants of the Alto were residents of Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, and were headed to the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) for a medical check-up of the minor boy.

The other victim, a woman pedestrian, who was crossing the road also died in the accident and has not been identified yet, Kumar said.
