Chennai, Nov 23 (IANS) Choreographer-turned-actor Raghava Lawrencce, who has wrapped up work on his upcoming Tamil-Telugu horror bilingual "Shivalinga", says the real heroes of the film are the script and the leading lady Ritika Singh.
"The story is the first hero of 'Shivalinga', and Ritika is the second. Shakti Vasu, who plays a very important role, is the third hero and then comes my role. I consider myself the fourth hero of the film," Lawrencce told IANS.
Best known for working in hit horror franchise "Kanchana", he's confident "Shivalinga" will be a bigger hit.
"Kanchana' was a hit. Its sequel 'Ganga' was even a bigger hit. When I was looking to do a film that will be even more successful, director Vasu asked me to watch 'Shivalinga', and I immediately liked it and decided to be part of the remake," he said.
The eponymous remake of a Kannada hit is slated for a January 2017 release.
Talking about his co-star Ritika, Lawrencce said she could be the next Jyotika of southern filmdom.
"Ritika will get the kind of appreciation actress Jyotika got for her performance in 'Chandramukhi'. She could be the next Jyotika," he said, adding he was fortunate to work under the direction of P. Vasu.
