New Delhi, Nov 23 (IANS) Cash amounting to more than Rs 3.5 crore in withdrawn notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denominations was seized here on Tuesday, police said.
The cash was seized from three "suspicious persons", Delhi Police officials told IANS.
They were detained by special staff of north district of Delhi police and were being interrogated by Delhi police and income tax officials.
According to sources, one of the three is a chartered accountant and they were planning to get the notes changed through the help of some bank employees.
Currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 were demonetised with effect from midnight of November 8.
