Detained AAP volunteers draw money from police station ATM
New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS) AAP volunteers detained at the Parliament Street police station on Tuesday after a protest found to their luck a functional ATM with no queue. In no time, everyone hurriedly withdrew cash.

More than 50 AAP leaders, including Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, were detained after a protest against demonetisation. Many party volunteers were also detained and taken to the police station.

The volunteers who were kept in an open courtyard suddenly discovered an Axis Bank ATM inside the compound.

And to their surprise, the ATM was working and there was no queue too. Everyone seized the opportunity to withdraw cash.

The ATM is normally used only by police personnel.

Ravi Kumar, who withdrew Rs 2,000 after a wait of 10 minutes, said: "In the last 10 days, this is the first time I have been able to withdraw cash without any hassle.

"Had I known about this ATM, I would have got myself arrested (detained) earlier," he added with a chuckle.
