Greater Noida, Nov 20 (IANS) Anindith Reddy and Vishnu Prasad emerged as national champions in different categories at the 19th National Racing Championship at the Buddh International Circuit here on Sunday.
Starting with 96 points on Sunday, Reddy took the lead from the start and hung on to it all the way through to the end of the 10 laps to win in the Euro JK 16 category.
The father and son duo of Gurvinder Singh and Simranjeet Singh had to settle for the runners-up position despite winning their first races on Saturday.
Commenting on the race, Anindith said in a release: "I had a good start and managed to get ahead of the car in front of me right away. That made it easy for me."
In the LGB-four category, Chennai's Prasad wrapped up the championship on Saturday itself. He had a 19-point lead going into Sunday's final.
