Patna, Nov 18 (IANS) RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Friday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explain who was responsible for the over 50 deaths due to the Centre's decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
"Notebandi ke karan hui 50 se jayada maut ka jimmedar kaun?" (who is responsible for the more than 50 deaths due to demonetisation). "The government, or those standing in queue," Lalu asked in a tweet.
On Wednesday, Lalu Prasad had reminded Modi of his poll promise of giving people Rs 15 lakh each in their bank accounts after getting back black money to the country, when the Prime Minister asked for 50 days time to deal with the demonetisation effects.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal chief in another tweet said: "It would be considered as 'Fergical strike' and 'fake encounter' of people if they do not get Rs 15 lakh in their accounts after doing all these exercises."
Earlier he targeted Modi saying that he had protected his corporate friends while badly hitting the common people with the demonetisation. He had also then advised Modi to end his "nautanki" (drama) over demonetisation.
