La Paz (Bolivia), Nov 16 (IANS) An own goal by Paraguayan defender Gustavo Gomez in the 78th minute gave hosts Bolivia a 1-0 win in the 12th South American qualifying round for the 2018 World Cup.
Their second defeat in two matches here on Tuesday left Paraguay with 15 points and a difficult task in securing one of the region's berths in the 2018 tournament, reports Efe.
Bolivia, meanwhile, boosted their points total to seven, enough to lift them out of last place.
The South American qualifiers will resume in March 2017.
