New Delhi, Nov 12 (IANS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday appealed to his party workers to help people standing in queues at banks and ATMs due to the demonetization move.
"It is my appeal to all the Congress workers that they should help people in queues outside banks, especially senior citizens and the ones finding it difficult to fill the form," Gandhi said in a tweet.
"Apart from this, if you come across any poor people having problems in depositing the money, offer complete help," he said.
After the government demonetized Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes on Tuesday night, the Congress leader had himself joined a queue at a bank on Friday to get the demonetized currency notes exchanged.
