Russia says it detained Kiev-linked 'terrorists' in Crimea
Moscow, Nov 10 (IANS) Russia's intelligence agency on Thursday said it has detained what it called a group of Kiev-linked "terrorists" who were planning acts of sabotage in Crimea's Sevastopol city, media reported.

According to a statement of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), the group, allegedly from the Defence Ministry of Ukraine, planned to sabotage military facilities and crucial infrastructure on the peninsula, Xinhua news agency reported.

The FSB alleged that it has seized powerful explosive devices, weapons and ammunition, as well as special means of communication and other evidence of their criminal activities, including maps of targets.

Investigation was not yet complete, it added.

Kiev is yet to make any comments on the alleged charges.

In August, the FSB claimed that it had prevented a series of terrorist attacks in Crimea allegedly plotted by the Ukrainian intelligence service, and Kiev denied such accusations.

Crimea, which was previously part of Ukraine, was incorporated into Russia in 2014 following a referendum, whose results were recognised by Moscow but rejected by Ukraine and Western powers.
