China to share technology with CISF

New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS) A Chinese delegation led by Meng Jianzhu, special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, on Wednesday agreed to share technology and other mechanisms with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in "mutual co-operation to strengthen internal security".

The 22-member Chinese delegation agreed to this at a meeting with CISF Director General O.P. Singh and other senior officers of the force.

They also discussed various aspects of internal security at the CISF headquarters here.

"In the meeting, an understanding with respect to mutual co-operation on sharing of technology, indigenous experience, best practices used by each other, incident response and management system, inter agency co-ordination, training and skills upgradation, terrorism and public dealing were discussed in order to strengthen the internal security," an official statement said.

A guard of honour was presented to the Chinese delegation chief Meng Jianzhu who appreciated the multifarious role played by the force in guarding the critical and sensitive economic infrastructures of the country.
