Villarreal (Spain), Nov 8 (IANS) Villarreal midfielder Samu Castillejo has said that after his team's good La Liga start, the goal that they target is to be up among top teams in the Spanish football league.
Villarreal are third in the standings with 22 points after 11 games in the championship, which Castillejo saw as a demonstration of good level and the competitiveness of the team, reports Efe.
The midfielder said Villarreal's victory over Real Betis on Sunday was important for recover the good feelings after two defeats in La Liga and the Europa League.
Asked about the goal of the team for this season, Castillejo said the dream is to keep growing and go as high as possible on the table to be close to the best La Liga teams.
The midfielder, who was substituted against Betis for muscle problems, explained said it was a hit, which he hopes will not prevent him from joining the Spanish national team.
