London, Nov 7 (PTI) Oscar-winning actress and comedienne Mo'nique said she has an "open marriage" with her husband Sidney Hicks.
The "Precious" star married Hicks in 2006 and they are parents to twin sons, but Mo'nique said the couple has an unconventional marriage - because both she and her man are allowed to date other people.
She first opened up about the arrangement in 2007, but now insisted the perception of what goes on in her marriage has been misconstrued, reported Contactmusic.
"Let me tell you what the rule is, so that everybody is clear - the rule is simply honesty..." she told "Watch What Happens Live!".
"We've been married for a decade now and people say, 'Well, how does it work? How does it happen?' Try it for yourself and find out."
Mo'Nique went on to explain she first came up with the idea of an open marriage, because she was in the "mindset of an entertainer and wanted to have it all", and Hicks was up for the arrangement.
