Los Angeles, Nov 4 (PTI) "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Karen Gillan is stepping behind the camera to make her feature film directing debut with a screenplay she wrote.
The Scottish actress, who is also known for her former role on "Doctor Who," will take charge of "Tupperware Party", in which she will also star, reported Variety.
Plot details for the movie have yet to be released, but Gillan will return home to Scotland for the shoot, which will begin in January next year.
The project is being developed in collaboration with producers at Mt Hollywood Films, a new independent company focused on movies with strong female and minority roles.
Gillan has previously explored her passion for filmmaking in the 2015 short films "Conventional" and "Coward".
