Ahmedabad, Nov 2 (IANS) The body of Mujib Sheikh, one of the eight alleged SIMI members who were shot dead after fleeing the Bhopal Central Jail, was buried here on Wednesday.
The body of Mujib, who was charged with involvement in the 2008 serial bombings that rocked Ahmedabad and Surat, was brought to the city on Tuesday night by his family.
Mujib's family, which lives in Juhapura area, was questioned by the local police soon after the encounter with the Madhya Pradesh Police following the prison escape on Monday.
The family, relatives and some 300-400 people attended the last rites on Wednesday morning. Police were deployed to avoid any untoward incident during the burial.
