When Shubhangi Atre’s daughter turned hair stylist

Mumbai, Oct 28 (IANS) Actress Shubhangi Atre will sport a retro look, styled by her 11-year-old daughter Ashi, for her character Angoori Bhabi in the TV show "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain".

The upcoming episodes of the show will see Angoori getting married to Vibhuti (Aashif Sheikh) for unavoidable reasons. In the sequence, Shubhangi decides to go forward with the hairstyle, which her daughter designs for her.

"So, the thing is my daughter loves to see me in plaits and one day so happened that after playing with my daughter I was rushing from home to the sets without realising I was still in the plaits that my daughter lovingly styled me in," Shubhangi said in a statement.

"The entire unit was taken aback when they saw me enter the sets and all of them complimented me for my hairdo. Since we were discussing Angoori's wedding track, I suggested that we should go retro and hence, decided to shoot in the same looks."

"It will remind you of a young Suman from 'Maine Pyar Kiya'. It's the first time I've donned this kind of a get-up and I am super excited about it," she added.

"Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai" is aired on &TV.

Diwali cleanliness drive on sets of 'Ishqbaaaz'

Actress Surbhi Chandna, who plays the role of Annika in "Ishqbaaaz", and her co-stars Nakuul Mehta, Kunal Jaisingh, Leenesh Mattoo and Nehalaxmi Iyer cleaned the sets and make-up room of the TV show for Diwali.

"The set and our make-up room are our second home anyway since we spend a major part of the day and our life on set. We clean our houses every year for Diwali, so me and my co-actors actually thought of doing the same for our respective rooms," Chandna said in a statement.

The actress said that entire unit got together and spent 30 minutes to pick up the mess on the set of the Star Plus show.

"Cleaned whatever little they could on set. This helped us bond better and get the festive mood started on the sets as well," she added.

Akshay Dogra worked as screenwriter in past

Actor Akshay Dogra, currently seen as Jagan in the TV show "Waaris", earlier used to work as a screenwriter for "Saubhagyalaxmi".

"I used to write screenplays for 'Saubhagyalaxmi' and I am a good writer. I have authored books as well in the past," Akshay said in a statement.

However, Akshay does not have any intentions to write for "Waaris".

"The treatment of the show is very different and I don't think I would be able to do justice to it. Moreover, our writers are doing a fabulous job," he said.
